Andrey Yerin, project leader for ACD/Labs nomenclature products, reflects on his 25 years with the company and the development of our Name software over that time.
As part of our 25th anniversary celebration this year we took the opportunity to bring all of the company together in Malaga (Spain) to work together and also spend some time socializing and getting to know one another better. See more in our photo blog!
If you haven’t already heard, it’s our 25th year in business. This milestone has been a magnificent journey achieved by our team’s drive to help the scientific community solve research challenges and accelerate innovation. As regulatory agencies have placed increased pressure on our customers, partners, and collaborators, we’ve stood the test of time by providing software that supports processes and workflows to ensure safety, quality, and data integrity. Our motto this year is Connect—Align—Learn. We aim to connect more with our customers, align with their needs, and learn as much as possible over the next twelve months. As we mark this silver anniversary, I found it only fitting to share 25 achievements we’ve celebrated along the way.
As 2018 comes to a close and we approach a milestone year for ACD/Labs—2019 will be our 25th year in business—I reflect on the vigorous path of innovation ACD/Labs has taken in the last few years. For a business to remain relevant and vibrant, particularly in the science and technology sector, addressing the current needs of our customers, and most importantly anticipating those that lie ahead, is vital.
As 2017 comes to an end, Daria Thorp, President and CEO of ACD/Labs, looks back the company's 23 year history, and recounts some of its notable solutions, including ACD/Spectrus, ACD/Name and ACD/Percepta. She also discusses Luminata, ACD/labs' award winning impurity control informatics solution, which was introduced earlier this year.
We welcomed Mark Meyers to ACD/Labs as our new vice president of global sales earlier this year. We’re ecstatic to welcome Mark to our executive team as our company continues to evolve and bring innovative software solutions to our clientele around the world. In his role, Mark will be responsible for leading ACD/Labs’ sales initiatives while overseeing the sales, technical, and services teams.
At times, it seems that our world is revolving faster and faster, with the industry and economy speeding up through a colossal pace of change. Let me sincerely wish you and your loved ones this holiday season, and at the eve of the New Year, inner peace and stability, in this moment and in every moment of 2017.
Towards the end of 2015, Andrew Anderson rejoined ACD/Labs after an almost decade long hiatus to pursue roles at PepsiCo and Symyx. Upon his return, Andrew took the time to tell us a bit about his experience away from ACD/Labs and why he decided to come back.
For those of you that know me, you may be wondering why I re-joined ACD/Labs; for those that don’t know me yet, let me give you some insight into my return. When I think back on many happy firsts in my life, and I can’t not think about my career experience at the same time. And when I began to contemplate a return to ACD/Labs, the first thing that came to my mind was, of all things, Star Wars and JJ Abrams. Let me explain...
Welcome to our company blog! We’re excited to announce the launch of this entirely new resource created specifically for our loyal ACD/Labs followers. Our posts will appear every few weeks, and they will include new thought provoking content, exclusive company news, and (most importantly) fun and entertaining updates from the ACD/Labs team. Considering today is our first post, we thought we’d start off with some good news! We’d like to take this opportunity to introduce Andrew Anderson, our new VP of Business Development. Andrew joins ACD/Labs from PepsiCo, Symyx before that, and…well… ACD/Labs.
