We welcomed Mark Meyers to ACD/Labs as our new vice president of global sales earlier this year. We’re ecstatic to welcome Mark to our executive team as our company continues to evolve and bring innovative software solutions to our clientele around the world. In his role, Mark will be responsible for leading ACD/Labs’ sales initiatives while overseeing the sales, technical, and services teams.
Mark brings more than 24 years of sales and sales management experience to ACD/Labs, and given his knowledge of the life science and chemical industries he will be a valuable asset for our sales team and extended organization. More specifically, Mark’s diverse sales background gives him a deep understanding of both enterprise and desktop chemistry software products, customized robotics as well as ELNs – all of which translate well to the work we do at ACD/Labs. In addition, Mark’s experience implementing effective sales programs and strategies, specifically designed to align with complex R&D environments at companies such as Symyx Technologies and Chemspeed Technologies Inc., will pay off as we continue to streamline our own sales initiatives moving forward.
Most recently, Mark comes to us from LabAnswer where he managed the sales unit of the Pharmaceutical Practice while also acting as a contributing sales member. This role actually brought Mark back into the chemistry fold and eventually, to ACD/Labs. In fact, prior to joining the ACD/Labs team, Mark tells me that he was initially drawn in by the organizational changes we’ve instilled over the past year—specifically our decision to shift from a desktop software provider to a solution focused sales model. After gaining some more insight into the company, he became even more excited about our strong product pipeline, which has thrived over the last year with the launch of MetaSense® and Luminata™. But most importantly, Mark is looking forward to hitting the ground running in 2017, and we could not be more excited to have him on board!
